About Us

We Can Foundation Inc. is a leader in Learning, Tutoring and Instructional Development. We've migrated going from being a California Statewide District tutoring program to serving the localized needs of Individual Learning, mostly from South Central LA to Leimert Park since 2017.

Mission Statement

To research, analyze, dream, organize, develop, implement, manage, sponsor, nurture, publish, own, and operate programmatic methodologies and systems, designed to work with and for individuals and their communities; and, most especially young people, so they may uncover, explore, and exploit their own innate genius to transform, for life, their selves and their communities.

History

Established in 1995 to address growing disparities in computerization between various segments of society, WE CAN is a community-based response to the challenges of our modern multi-culture, techno-based, global society. Since establishment, WE CAN’s programs and projects have encompassed a range of activities, all with the common theme of expanding the application of computer- and communications-based technology.

VISION

WE CAN promotes educational advancement and opportunities on all levels, including: one-on-one instruction in reading and mathematics, with emphasis on critical thinking; computer skills development; life skills management; and essay competition programs.

WE CAN works to build the people who will help to build bridges between various communities in our diverse society, engaging parents, families, students, schools and community partners to serve as a New Village to raise our youth to be successful citizens in a multi–cultural society and global marketplace.

Each WE CAN program and project is intended to fosterself-actualization, a life-long commitment to learning, critical thinking, and dreaming—of possibilities in a world where all people in all communities are joined together through the hoops of intellect, creativity, and technology to work in harmony and peace.
